Invitation To Bid

West Virginia State University is requesting bids for a roof replacement for the Canty House located at the WVSU campus in Institute, WV.

The project includes:

1. The removal of the
existing roof
2.Removal of gutters
and downspouts
3.The installation of ice
and snow shield.
4.Installation of asphalt
5.The installation of
gutters and downspouts.
6.The installation of
metal flashing at valleys
and chimneys.

Refer to the bid package for detailed description of work.

The project completion date is no later than April 30, 2018 and will be reviewed by the West Virginia State Historic Preservation Office. Contractors will be selected based upon (1) cost, (2) experience with similar historic preservation projects, and (3) proven ability to complete a project. The contractor must carry out the described work in compliance with the Secretary of Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation.

The property will be open for a mandatory pre-bid walk-through immediately following the mandatory pre bid meeting. The prebid meeting will be held in the West Virginia State University Physical Facilities Conference Room #124 in the Harold McNeill Building, Institute, West Virginia. at 10:00am on January 17, 2018.

All bids must be received no later than 10:00 am January 31, 2018 at the West Virginia State University Physical Facilities McNeill Building Conference Room #124, West Virginia State University, Institute, West Virginia.
